Step 2: Prepare and Record Your Self-Tape

• Quality matters. Ensure good lighting, clear sound, and a clean background.

• Performance over production. Focus on delivering a compelling performance; the quality of your acting is more important than high-end equipment. Just use your phone.

• Follow standard self-tape practices. Include a quick (Slate) introduction (name, role, and where you're from) before diving into the monologue.

• Submit your self-tape along with the $29.99 application fee.

• Ensure that any instructions on submission format, naming files, or additional information are followed closely to avoid disqualification.

• Send us the original file from your phone, or the link to your upload on Youtube..

• Also your email must include a grant of permission.  ( I, your name grant permission to DIP Global Media Films LLC  Affilites permission to use my Video/Photos of me for the Self Tape Awards, marketing and promotion on their website. "It must be written in the email just like this".)

• Practice, Practice, Practice: Know your monologue inside and out.
