Prior to covid the Acting House Workshops was introduced in 2018 with President and Cinematographer Darryl Jones along with Actress and Acting Coach A. Renee Cooper giving local actors in the DMV area an opportunity to expand on their careers. After teaming up and arriving in the DMV area from New York City they have decided to share their networks, talents, and experiences with the Mid-Atlantic Region.  Darryl being a Manager in the Music Industry, Fashion Photographer, Business and Entertainment Photographer, Film Director, MUA, Creative Director of Focus Magazine SWFL/Virginia, Entrepreneur and Real Estate Developer.

A. Renee being a professional Actress, Fashion Designer, Mua, Hair Stylist, and Image Consultant decided to build a film production company servicing the need of actors and talent who were in search of real opportunities to advance their careers.  

 

The workshops are designed and developed to give experienced and non-experienced actors the opportunities to be in films and on film sets with some of the most talented professional associates within the company such as writers, directors, producers, casting directors, agents, Mua, and hair stylists, who have worked in the television and film industry for decades creating passionate ideas and techniques. In addition, it gives experienced actors a chance to keep honing their skills, staying active and keeping their competitive edge sharp by staying in front of the camera.

 

It is an all-exclusive organization where actors can register for the two-day workshops to build their skills on a live set in front of and behind the cinematographer and director's camera.  It is an on-hands training workshop where the value is more than the $295.00 you spend.  It does not matter whether you are a professional or beginner we have developed value for you.  Saturday you are in the workshop, Sunday your script is in your hand and you are live in front of the camera and the footage becomes a part of your professional reel.
